HISTORY
Congregation Agudas Achim was established around 1864 by Jewish immigrants from the city of Amdur in Belorus. A traditional Ashkenaz, orthodox congregation, it was originally located in the Roundout area of Kingston and moved to it's present location in 1970. In 2001, a partnership was formed with Chabad Lubavitch, under the leadership of Rabbi Y. Yitzhak Hecht.
PRESENT
Together with Chabad, Agudas Achim continues to be the fastest growing congregation in the general area. With prayer services, holiday programs, adult education, children programs, outreach, chessed, (men & women's) mikvah, and more. We continue to be a warm and inviting congregation and community for all ages and levels of religious involvement.
